Jam
Here's the jam I made for my New Zealand Blog by Mail buddy. The original recipe was to be made in the microwave but as I don't have a 3 litre bowl suitable for the microwave I made it on top of the stove. I used frozen fruit which I defrosted in a bowl on the bench overnight.
CRANBERRY AND BLUEBERRY JAM
450 grams (2 cups) of sugar
450 ml water
350 grams cranberries (3 cups)
100 grams blueberries s(1 cup)
Place sugar and water in a large pan and heat slowly until sugar has dissolved.
Bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes.
Add fruit and return to boil.
Boil until set.
Pour into sterilised jars.

Sounds absolutely delicious Barbara, I have never seen frozen cranberries, I have my own wee bush, however the flowers haven't formed any fruit so far.
So it's craisins for me!

Bron - I got the frozen cranberries in Foodtown. They are really tart.

Wow Jam. I'm really into cranberries this year. I see Bron says she has a bush - I thought they didn't grow there? The fresh cranberries I've been getting don't seem to need that much sugar. I'm really of a mind to try doing jam with all cranberries, what would you think?

I can get fresh cranberries so might try it with those. I know Dillon will love it as cranberry is a favourite of his.

How many jars does it make?

Tanna - they make a delicious jam, very velvety.
Jules - its the first time I've used frozen fruit and will again.
Beccy - I put it into all different containers but I guess about three medium 2 large. I've never seen fresh cranberries.
Golly - and easy too.
Celine - I sent chutney to send with lambs tails!! You've guessed?

Yum! I wouldn't mind some of that! By the way I am sure that Moore Wilson down here in Wellington had fresh cranberrires last year, maybe they will have them in one of the new markets up in Auckland?

Emma - I've never seen them fresh in Auckland.
Joey - Yours sounds very interesting.
Chris - does that mean cranberries are a winter fruit?
Keiko - Thank you. You are the master...or should that be mistress!
