I'm A Finalist
You've probably noticed I've made a few things from Taste magazine recently. Well it is because they have been running a photo competition where the three pictures with the most votes win a cook book. Like I need more cook books. I do I do. You can never have too many cook books I say.
The family have enjoyed some excellent cakes the past month as I did my best to make the final eight. Remember this Apple Cinnamon Cake ? It was selected. You can view all the finalists here and then vote for your favourite here.
Congratulations! So far I agree with their readership -- your photo and the Chinese Poached Chicken are the most visually appealing.

I agree with Emma. I don't think the chicken is even close (although it's definitely a distant second place compared to some of those pix).

As I looked through them, I thought that your only real competition was the chicken pic. And the voters seem to agree. (Although I feel very sorry for anyone who hasn't gotten ONE vote yet!)

There is no doubt in my mind that yours should win. The chicken one is good but the picture has to "off" factor. Just to look at your cake and I am drooling!

Thankyou everyone for your kind comments. I'm so competitive I keep checking the score every hour and reportiag to the family whether the poached chicken or apple cake is in front. I wonder if the poached chicken maker is doing the same?!!

I voted for your photo the other day, before I even looked to see who had submitted it! I'm annoyed I didn't notice the competition until the day AFTER it had closed!
