Postcard From Australia #5
Arrived in Melbourne Thursday night. A bowl of pasta and glass of wine at Di Stasio for dinner. More on that when I get home. Prahan Markets today and we picked up supplies for a picnic. Great Serrano Jamon and an excellent Brie. Meeting friends for lunch in St Kilda tomorrow.
Missing you and wish you were here.
Hugs
Barbara
Lovely to hear from you.

I remember you posting about that kind of ham being a favorite!
I looked up "Prahan Markets" and was delighted to find a *recipes* section, not huge but interesting.

Soooooo jealous right now - Prahan Market was one of my favorite places in Melbourne, not least for their incredibly good 'end of the day' prices making great food affordable on a student budget.
And St-Kilda at this time of year must've been gorgeous!

Have a wonderful time in Melbourne, Barbara and Bryan. If you have a spare couple of kgs in your suitcase, think about buying Maggie Beer's just-published cookbook, Maggie's Harvest - it's absolutely beautiful. Embroidered fabric cover, gorgeous photos and fantastic recipes. I love it already!

Hiya Barb! Good to see you're having a lovely time - frankly, with the diabolical nor'westers savaging NZ, you're better off out of it!
